Experiencing Peace During a Pandemic and Other Chaos

With a pandemic and much tension building in our world, being an expecting or new mom is quite challenging right now. Thank God for Jesus because He has words of comfort for us in these high stress times. Jesus tells us in John 14:1, “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. Jesus states in John 16:33 NKJV These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

You're probably thinking: How can I experience this overcoming peace that Jesus mentions. The answer is found in Philippians 4:4-8 that states the following:


Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be

evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in

every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your

requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding,

will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers and

sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is

pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or

praiseworthy—think about such things.


Dwelling in peace is an intentional choice. We must decide to rejoice and be thankful to the Lord for everything we know is going right in our lives. We must pray for Him to strengthen us and ask and trust Him to work out all things that appear to be going wrong for our good. Then we meditate on what's good and excellent according to God's Word. Then, the peace of God will take over and consume your inner world.

Today, take your cares to Jesus because He cares for you and experience His peace that surpasses all understanding!
